In our selection of stud sires we try to achieve a balance between performance information from Lambplan and visual appraisal of conformation, muscle deposition and type.  

Banyenong West 040089 "Bravado", a son of Kurralea "5 star", Bravado backs up good Lambplan data with an excellent carcass and show ring appeal.  He has the Lambplan figures of PWT: 10.9, PFAT: -1.3, PEMD: 1.0, C+ 181.

Banyenong West Bravado was purchased in partnership with Brian & Kerrin Hurley, Tarrington, for $8000 at the 2005 Melbourne Royal Sales.

Banyenong West 060165 "Russ" is also owned in partnership with Brian and Kerrin Hurley of Tarrington, he has bred exceptionally well at both places and has many good daughters in both flocks.  His lambplan data has continued to improve as more of his progeny make it onto the data base.  His current figures are PWT: 11.6, PFAT: -1.4, PEMD: 0.9, Carcass Plus index: 184.

Banyenong West 060165 purchased at Melbourne Royal for $4000.

 

Hillcroft Farms 070657 was purchased in partnership with Brian and Kerrin Hurley as ram lamb based on his impressive ASBVs, his visual appeal and his clean points.  His ASBVs improved even further once he had progeny on the ground and he now boasts the impressive combination of PWT = +12.2kg, PFAT = -1.3mm, PEMD 3.2mm with a carcass plus index of 205.

Banyenong West 080363 "Rob" is also owned in partnership with Brian and Kerrin Hurley of Tarrington.  A spring drop ram, he again combines visual appeal with excellent Lambplan figures and received several ribbons in the performance classes around the 2009 shows.  He has the impressive lambplan figures of PWT: 14.1, PFAT: -1.0, PEMD: 1.7, Carcass Plus index: 197.
